Affirmation Dolls: Strengthening Clients
Saturday, May 17, 2008
9:00am – 5:00pm $100.00
CEU: 7.0 hours

Dolls of yarn and cloth were handed down from African-American slave mothers to their daughters as a way to communicate dignity, hope and survival of spirit. In this experiential workshop, participants will learn how art therapists have adapted this familial tradition into “affirmation dolls” and their use as a therapeutic tool for all ages and issues.

The group will be facilitated by Debra Harrison, LPC, ATR-BC.

As with all workshops at The Art Station, no previous art experience is needed. All materials will be provided.

Seating is limited so please register for this class by clicking here.

Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations received at least five working days before the workshop are refundable less a $10 administrative charge per registrant. For cancellations received prior to the workshop, a credit will be issued toward a future training. Please note that if you register and do not cancel, you are liable for full payment. Substitutions may be made at any time.
