How To Help

The Art Station, as part of our mission, provides art therapy to clients regardless of ability to pay and strives to never turn away anyone who seeks our services. Because of this individual and corporate donations are especially important to our fundraising efforts.

Did You Know ...

• Only 7% of our clients can afford to pay the full fee for services
• 26% of our clients’ families are at or below the federal poverty level ($21,200 for a family of 4)
• 12% of our clients pay nothing for their services (that’s $10,000 worth of donated services annually)
• 55% of our clients pay a reduced fee for services (often due to lack of insurance coverage)
• We partnered with 9 community agencies to provide off-site services to over 325 clients last year (that’s a total of 2364 hours of treatment)
• The Art Station is the only facility of its kind in Texas and one of a handful in the U.S.
• The Art Station has never turned anyone away based on their ability to pay for treatment and you can help us continue that tradition

How You Can Help

There are a variety of ways you can help The Art Station fulfill its mission to provide growth and healing through the creative arts.

Palette Partners Annual Giving Society – Palette Partners pledge to give a minimum of $1,000 a year for at least three years to ensure that low-cost art therapy services will be available to the community for years to come.

Matching Gifts – When you make a gift to The Art Station, please ask your company to match it. If you are a company owner, consider joining with your employees to support charitable organizations with a gift matching program.

Tribute Gifts – Celebrate a holiday or significant event by donating in lieu of a gift. You may designate The Art Station as a beneficiary of a gift in honor or in memory of a loved one. We will send an acknowledgement of the tribute to the honoree or the family of the honoree.

Corporate or Organizational Giving – Whether your company or organization has $1,000 or $10,000 set aside for charitable giving, The Art Station has an opportunity for you to become a community partner that can be tailored for your budget and philanthropic needs. Corporate funding can provide a year’s worth of group therapy or art supplies or could underwrite a therapist’s salary. Foundations have the opportunity to allocate funds to current programs or could fund a new program.

In-Kind Donations – Individuals and businesses can provide their time, talents and resources to assist The Art Station in daily operations, fundraising and event production. Needed services include printing, accounting, legal, photography, grant writing, copy services, marketing, landscape maintenance, catering, floral, audio/visual services, event equipment rentals and entertainment.

Volunteer Your Time – The gift of your time and talent is as valuable as a monetary donation. Due to the confidentiality of the work that we do, we are not in need of volunteers to work with clients directly but have opportunities to serve in the following capacities:

• Administrative
• Fundraising
• Events Planning
• Special Projects
• Serving on the Board of Directors

Networking – If you have an idea for a fundraiser to be held by your group or are looking for a great beneficiary for your organization’s annual fundraiser, consider selecting The Art Station to receive the proceeds.

Cash Donations – Every gift, large or small, makes an impact in the lives of our clients. Gifts of any amount are always appreciated.
