Education & Training

In addition to providing clinical services the Art Station seeks to promote art therapy through the education and training of mental health professionals.

Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)

The Art Station is a registered provider of Continuing Education Credits for social workers, licensed professional counselors, and marriage and family therapists. Our staff is available to schedule trainings for members of your organization.  For information on costs, possible topics and scheduling availability, please contact the office at 817.921.2401.

Our goal is to provide workshops throughout the year covering a variety of topics, including art assessments, interventions and ethics.  All workshops will have an experiential component unless otherwise indicated.  Click on workshop title for more information and to register.

Graduate Field Placement

The Art Station is committed to working with young professionals who are interested in art therapy and the use of art in therapy and provides a limited number of graduate field placements each semester.  Our agency requirements for field practicum include enrollment in an accredited graduate program in counseling or social work, a minimum of two consecutive semesters of placement, and a successful background check.  Because we often receive more requests for placements than we can accommodate,  there is a brief application and interview process conducted each semester.  Please use the link below to download the graduate practicum application.

We are currently accepting applications for the Summer 2024 semester.

We anticipate being able to accommodate 3-5 graduate students.
