Using Mandalas in Grief Work
Saturday, June 21, 2008
9:00am – 5:00pm $100.00
CEU: 7.0 hours

Mandalas (circle drawings) have been used for thousands of years in most cultures and religions as a form of visual meditation. In this experiential workshop, participants will learn how art therapists have adapted this ancient art form into a powerful therapeutic tool for working with clients of all ages dealing with grief issues related to death, divorce, illness or other losses.

The group will be facilitated by Jane Avila, LCSW, ATR-BC, who studied and trained in the therapeutic use of Mandalas with acclaimed author and psychologist Dr. Judith Cornell.

As with all workshops at The Art Station, no previous art experience is needed. All materials will be provided. A Mandala starter kit and workbook will be available to purchase during the workshop for $25.00.

There is no more available seating for this program.

For cancellations received less then five days prior to the workshop, a credit will be issued toward a future training. Please note that if you register and do not cancel, you are liable for full payment. Participant substitutions may be made at any time.
