Do you believe in the power of art? Do you want to help make the difference in the life of child or family? With your help, we can continue to treat those that who are experiencing emotional pain or physical hurt with the healing power of art. Be assured that 89% of every donated dollar is allocated directly to the delivery of art therapy services and you can make a BIG impact in the life of another. Here are some ways you can help:
Host a “Friend-Raiser” Event
Would you like to share our story with others? Do you enjoy planning social events? Need an excuse to have friends over? Then consider hosting a party with a purpose. We have found that small, intimate gatherings are the best way for us to introduce ourselves to new friends and share our story with new supporters. If you would like to make your next game watching party, backyard barbeque, happy hour or birthday bash a “Party with a Purpose,” please contact our office.
Every dollar makes a difference. Your gift will allow us to continue our mission of making art therapy available to everyone. Here’s how your donation can make an immediate impact:
- $50 provides three group therapy sessions
- $150 provides art supplies for one week for our 175 clients
- $500 will provide one month of individual art therapy sessions for a client
- $1000 will provide 3 months of therapy for an entire family
Make a gift in honor or memory of someone special. Occasions to make a tribute gift include birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas, Hanukkah, or death of a loved one, friend or colleague. A special card will be sent to the honoree or family member acknowledging your gift.
Many companies will match the financial donations made by their employees. Check with your employer and see if your donation is eligible for matching funds.
Wish List Donations
Do you have things around the house that you are no longer using? Want to organize a donation drive? The Art Station is always willing to accept donations of new or used materials, including art supplies, crafting supplies, fabrics, beads and costume jewelry, and magazines.
Want to make your party count? Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and other special events can benefit The Art Station. Ask your party guests to bring a monetary donation or a wish list item, in lieu of gifts, to be donated.
The Art Station welcomes the opportunity to partner with local churches, schools, businesses, and community organizations. Our featured partners include:
Thos. S. Byrne, Ltd.
The Art Station is honored to be the recipient of proceeds raised the annual charity golf tournament presented by Thos. S. Byrne, Ltd. Organized by the employees and supported by companies representing the best in the construction industry, all proceeds will directly benefit art therapy and mental health services for children in Tarrant County. We continue to be grateful for the support and generosity of Byrne Construction and its employees.
The Pappagallo-Classiques at 3000 S. Hulen Street helped raise money for The Art Station through the Brighton Loves Kids Across America program this summer. For every sale of the Limited Edition Americana Bracelet, Brighton donated 50% of the sales price to The Art Station. Thanks to the hard work of Becky Catalano and her staff, they surpassed their goal of selling 25 bracelets.
NBC5 Community Affairs
The NBC5 Community Affairs team became a sponsor of The Art Station this fall and in November, they invited The Art Station to share its story on their talk show, “Five Talk Street” hosted by Scott Murray.
We receive many requests for volunteer opportunities to work with our clients, but due to the confidential nature of our work, anyone who interacts with our clients must have or be receiving training in the counseling field. We would, however, greatly appreciate volunteers with interest in, knowledge of or training in the following areas:
- Grant Writing/Development Activities
- Gardening/Landscape Maintenance
- Social Event Planning
Please contact our volunteer coordinator at email@example.com to discuss how your time and talents can be used to support The Art Station.
