Host a “Friend-Raiser” Event

Would you like to share our story with others? Do you enjoy planning social events? Need an excuse to have friends over? Then consider hosting a party with a purpose. We have found that small, intimate gatherings are the best way for us to introduce ourselves to new friends and share our story with new supporters. If you would like to make your next game watching party, backyard barbeque, happy hour or birthday bash a “Party with a Purpose,” please contact our office.

Wish List Donations

Do you have things around the house that you are no longer using? Want to organize a donation drive? The Art Station is always willing to accept donations of new or used materials, including art supplies, crafting supplies, fabrics, beads and costume jewelry, and magazines.

Want to make your party count? Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and other special events can benefit The Art Station. Ask your party guests to bring a wish list item, in lieu of gifts, to be donated. Or create a fundraiser in Facebook to benefit The Art Station.

Monetary Donations

Every dollar makes a difference. Your gift will allow us to continue our mission of making art therapy available to everyone. Here’s how your donation can make an immediate impact:

  • $50 provides three group therapy sessions
  • $150 provides art supplies for one week for our 175 clients
  • $500 will provide one month of individual art therapy sessions for a client
  • $1000 will provide 3 months of therapy for an entire family

Make a gift in honor or memory of someone special. Occasions to make a tribute gift include birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas, Hanukkah, or death of a loved one, friend or colleague. A special card will be sent to the honoree or family member acknowledging your gift.

Many companies will match the financial donations made by their employees. Check with your employer and see if your donation is eligible for matching funds.

Volunteer

We receive many requests for volunteer opportunities to work with our clients, but due to the confidential nature of our work, anyone who interacts with our clients must have or be receiving training in the counseling field. We would, however, greatly appreciate volunteers with interest in, knowledge of or training in the following areas:

Administrative/Intake, Accounting, Grant Writing/Development Activities, Gardening/Landscape Maintenance, Marketing, Social Event Planning
