The Art Station Participates in Tarrant Cares
Tarrant County residents have a new online resource to find local services, health information and more.
Mental Health Connection of Tarrant County is coordinating development of TarrantCares, facilitating hundreds of individuals throughout the community who have worked for the past six months to develop the list of area resources. A key partner has United Way’s 2-1-1.
Tarrant Cares offers site offers quick and easy online access to information about services, as well as the latest news, health information and educational materials for all age groups. Users will also find a password-protected area to create their own personal health records.
There are nine categories within TarrantCares, each of which provides information for a specific group:
- Adult and Juvenile Community Corrections
- Children and Families
- Domestic, Sexual and other Violence
- Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
- Mental/Behavioral Health
- Prenatal to Age 5
- Public Health and Healthy Communities
- Seniors/Adults with disabilities
- Veterans, Service Members and Their Families

The Art Station staff offer several professional trainings throughout the year. Topics include ethics, working with art in therapy, and new therapeutic tools. For more information click HERE.
Fall Arts Goggle
Once again, The Art Station will be opening it’s doors for Fall Arts Goggle, a Fort Worth Near Southside presented by Fort Worth South, Inc. The event will be Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 4-10pm. Park Place Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic and we will be featuring the work of our clients and sharing their experience with art therapy. Please join us!
